Kubernetes is an open-source system that assists organizations small and large to automate deployment, scale, and load balance the their containerized applications. It is flexible in that it can run on-premises and with a cloud infrastructure and it is meant to handle an unlimited number of requests. This was built with the same design principles that allows Google to run more than 2 billion containers.
